Jesse Chard’s 25 year career in Radio and Podcast production has seen him win 4 Australian Commercial Radio Awards, work with some of the biggest brands in the world, and execute literally 10s of thousands of hours of podcasting, radio serials and documentaries.
Beginning his career in 1998 at age 19, Jesse had aced post-production during his studies at SAE and quickly landed a position with syndicated radio production houses Mr Bojangles + Radiowise (Now Mediaheads). During the time there he mastered every fundamental required for top quality radio production - technical, production, editorial, directorial and distribution.
A large majority of his radio documentary work now resides in the Australian National Film and Sound Archive.
Following from Radiowise, Jesse moved to Macquarie Radio as their multimedia producer, working in a pressure cooker environment of a busy newsroom and broadcaster. There, he honed his journalistic and editorial sensibilities which merged with digital marketing and early forms of social media.
Migrating to adventure travel brand World Nomads, Jesse expanded his skillsets to work in documentary film, with National Geographic, Lonely Planet and the WWF - however, even though his professional focus was on moving picture, he still maintained a link to his roots in his production work with the World Nomads podcast, a popular program in the travel space.
Founding Creative Rituals in 2017 Jesse began working directly with clients such as Google, Kathmandu, Ernst & Young, Fitness First, DJ Carl Cox, Opporto, Suntory Beverages and a wide range of others.
Through Creative Rituals he has expanded his professional career into media education and creative psychology - but kept his links to the podcasting space with a steady roster of socially focused podcasting clients including NSW MP Rose Jackson, The Mining and Energy Union, and The Nature Conservation Council.
This year, he launched his own podcast, Creative Rituals - focusing on the development of the creative psyche and understanding the mysteries of the maker mind.
THE ‘WHY’ OF PODCASTING
As Jesse has developed his skills over the years, he began to truly understand the why of good communications and effective story telling.
This course places a premium on understanding the why behind your podcast.
Jesse’s training and coaching method is intrinsically built on the understanding of this personal why, then delivers his training methodology with individual student need in mind.
This isn’t a cookie cutter, off the shelf training course - this course is designed to reach the very essence of who you are and arm you with the skills across not just the technical but the journalistic, psychological and strategic.
Podcasting is without a doubt, the most intimate media form available.
It requires acute human sensibility, and the ability to create an immersive world for your audience.
